| Husband and I |
I'm a 1/2 British 1/2 Spanish mix.
I currently live in Barceloneta - one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Barcelona. It's my happy place: a little triangle that juts into the Mediterranean, lodged between the port and the waves.
I live here with my husband, a 1/2 Dutch 1/2 Scottish mix from Johannesburg. And our dog, 1/2 Pointer 1/2 Dalmatian.
On the 30th of April Swiss Air is flying us to Asia to follow our dreams: 3 months of backpacking and NGOing around Southern India and then up, up, up into Nepal to start a new life in Boudhanath.
I'm a writer, online marketer and English teacher. I've been combining all three for the last couple of years and love the balance between them; the peaceful solitude of writing in the morning and the enthusiasm and live-in-the-momentness of teaching in the afternoon.
These are my reflections as I swap the beach and my hometown for the towering peaks of the Himalaya and my quest to become the best version of myself.
Minimalism, deliberate practice and the art of being grateful will be frequent topics. As I pack my life up into a single backpack, join me as I whittle down my belongings to the most essential. By giving or throwing away possessions I like, I get to keep the ones I love.
